The Town Clerk/Tax Collector’s Office provides general information and assistance to all the citizens in the Town of Ashland. In addition to maintaining and preserving Town Records, the Office of the Town Clerk/Tax Collector has services for issuing and renewing motor vehicle registrations, fulfilling vital record requests, dog licensing, coordinating election information and election registrations, billing and collecting tax bills as well as notary services.
Note that many transactions can be done online, including vehicle registrations, payment of taxes and dog license renewals.

A person must meet the following to register and vote in New Hampshire:
- 18 years of age or older on Election Day
- A United States citizen
- Domiciled in the town or ward where the person seeks to vote
